She wore a raisin ruffle dress while
He had a complementary mulberry tie on.
Her eyes gallivanted towards his hands that
Held the most beautiful bouquet of periwinkles,
Then to the fancy glasses of bubbling red wine
That stood on the violet table cloth,
Then the lilac decor, so serene
And passionate indigo curtains.
From the pocket of his dress pants,
Came a huge amethyst ring and
A magenta blush crept to her cheeks
And she couldn’t bring her plum lips to settle, for
She remembered how she had once said that
She revered the colour purple.
